Our good friend Mac has written a series of posts called Jesus Outed in Megachurch, Film at 11. In this era of emergent this and emergent that it's good to read about Jesus for a change... although you may not like what Mac - or Jesus - has to say.
Here's a link to Part 1, but be sure to read all 12 parts.

Cleverly written... funny... witty... pointed...
However...
Isn't the writer simply putting words in Christ's mouth and suggesting them to be The truth, especially The truth we're all to live out our faiths and lives by?
In other words, Mac purports to know what Jesus is all about, and is using his wittiness to spread the good news... which if he were espousing more conservative doctrines, he'd be seen to be rigid, pushy, and a fundamentalist attempting to foist his version of Christ on everyone else...
I don't see much difference... except Mac's version of Christ is a hip liberal...

Yikes, that's a little scary. That being said I'm looking forward to reading more...

You're right Rick. It's Mac's version... versus somebody elses. Personally, I like Mac's. It resonates with the Spirit in me more than others.
