(Before I go on, let me flesh out that rather innocous sentence a little. This is my 72 year old mother, who handed me the book while her Make Poverty History bracelet dangled from her wrist. Now you know where I get it from.)
The book is a compilation of the CBC Massey Lectures Lewis has been delivering across the country over the past 2 weeks. I wasn't able to catch the Vancouver lecture, so I'm especially grateful for the book. Anyone who has been reading the blog for any length of time at all will know that Stephen Lewis is one of my heroes. See, for example:
The Moral Void includes a webcast link. If you've never seen/heard Stephen Lewis speak, you need to watch this because half of his message is in the delivery.
