Tagged: 5 Things you didn't know
Si the trouble-making Irishman has tagged me, so here's 5 things you might not have known about me:
1. When I was younger I dreamed of being a professional bicycle racer. In 1989 I came out on the losing end of an altercation with a 1979 Buick Skylark which effectively ended that career possibility.
2. I played bass trombone in a Salvation Army band for 15 years.
3. In 1999 I spent an entire calendar quarter living in Toronto and Vancouver. This week Toronto, next week Vancouver. This week Vancouver, next week Toronto. Back and forth, back and forth. I was on a first-name basis with the hotel staff and airline flight crew.
4. I once went to a Rolling Stones concert with my mother-in-law.
5. In between my investment-world life and my current life, I spent one year working with World Vision Canada.

There's $20 in it for Stephen Lewis Foundation if anyone can produce a picture of trombone-boy...

I'll put $20 in the same place for a picture of Mike and the Buick! But I'll take a picture of Mike in his snazzy biking outfit as a second choice and put up the same cash. Someone HAS to have a picture of this! DT? Sue? C'mon folks, share the love. And the incriminating photos.

I love it!
Someone's gotta do the big dig and come up with those photogs!

Come to think of it I don't think there is a single photograph of me in my Lycra... which is probably good thing. There are, however, a few showing those massive pins sticking out of my leg!

No dice, Mike. My $20 goes to the Lycra or the actual impact with the Buick. Pins I can get anywhere.
Heading to Ottawa on Friday - have a wonderful Christmas!

I don't need anything quite as grueseome as that. Just one shot of the old sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide trombone (there must a concert shot somewhere - look under the damn cat) and a quick $20 sliiiiiiiiiides over to S-Lew. An extra twenty if he's in a uniform.
