Conferences, Trips and Stuff That Keeps Changing
It never fails.
I'm scheduled to do a workshop at the annual conference for the Canadian Council of Christian Charities, where I'm doing a session I've called Social Media 101: Facebook, YouTube & Blogs - Oh My! I know, I know... I slay me too. Anyway, The conference is September 23-25 in Calgary, Alberta.
Change gears for a second. When I was in Rwanda in May I told Brian McLaren that he needed to get up to Canada more often, and he pointed out that they had added a Toronto stop (I guess that's Canada, sort of) planned for later this year for the Everything Must Change tour. Well, this morning my sister Lynne (my insider at The Meeting House) emailed me about the Why Everything Must Change event coming up at TMH. It looks a little like the EMC Tour on steroids. The line up of speakers is outstanding... and yes, unlike some of my compatriots out there I still see the immense value of talking heads. This one is September 19-20 in Oakville, Ontario.
This works out fine... I can go to Oakville, then fly straight to Calgary (assuming I'm actually prepared for my workshop, of course.) The only fly in the ointment is the fact that I've already booked my Vancouver - Calgary tickets. Oh well, I'll considser the ridiculous change fee as my contribution to the ongoing battle for profitability for the airlines.

Hey Bud: No way u can miss such an outstanding line-up of presenters. It will be an ideal boost to your Calgary presentation... and we will get to see you. B and I will be there. Bubs
