Some Books...
That have recently been released, or
That will soon be released, and/or
I've recently read a sample chapter from, that
I'm really excited about:
The Great Emergence: How Christianity Is Changing and Why, Phyllis Tickle
YouTube Channel, More Resources
Rejesus: A Wild Messiah for a Missional Church, Michael Frost & Alan Hirsch
2 Sample Chapters
Becoming the Answer to Our Prayers: Prayer for Ordinary Radicals, Shane Claiborne & Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove
(I downloaded the sample chapter yesterday, and today I can't find it! Anyone have the link?)
Jesus Wants to Save Christians: A Manifesto for the Church in Exile, Rob Bell & Don Golden
Sample Chapter
The Voice (Complete New Testament)
Website
1st thought: So many books, so little time.
2nd thought: You can tell a lot about a person's journey by the subtitles of the books they want to read.
Funny aside: I was sitting in the car at the Langdale ferry terminal yesterday reading a chapter from Rejesus when my phone chirped. It was a tweet from Len Sweet (would that be a Len Tweet?) saying he was sitting in a conference somewhere or other listening to Alan Hirsch talk about Rejesus. I know... kind of geeky, but still cool.

Thanks for the list, I missed Shane Claiborne's newest book... if you find the link, would you mind sharing it?
I'm half way through Rob Bell's book - great, highly recommended.
The Voice: I read two of the single paperback releases (Acts and Luke) and I love the translation and the authors' approach. Just bought the complete New Testament, looking forward to finding some quiet time for it...
