A Theology of Change
As the People of God we are the custodians of the greatest force of change in the universe since nothing became something. We are given the sacred privilege of participating in the coming of the Kingdom, in God's will being done on Earth as it is in Heaven. We get to be part of the team that builds the City on the Hill.
Apparently though, this is not enough to get us excited, if we believe it at all. We can get all worked up about a politician who promises change--and trust me, I'm as optimistic about Obama as anyone--but we neglect or ignore our own personal and great commission to change the world.
Lack of faith? Bad theology? Dualism? Laziness?
Who knows.
It's time for new vision.

We want a king we can see... nothing ever changes, really.

That's very profound, wilsonian. Thanks for braving a response.
