Seth Godin, interviewed by Loic LeMeur (Twitter), at TED. (Tribes has been a huge influence on my thinking these days.) Seth uses some terms at the end of the interview that are absolutely outstanding as well as broadly applicable.
So, are you a wandering generality or a meaningful specific? Give it some thought.
(h/t to Austin Hill)

I am a web developer, and would really like to take my programming skills to the next level and become an entrepeneur. Have I been successful at achieving this in the past 10 years? Not at all!
I have forever been plagued by trying to DO everything just to keep up, and never really focused on achieving one goal of being the BEST at any specific thing.
It is amazing that with just a small tribe and the drive to make it the best tribe for a meaningful specific, we can really achieve great bounds.
What an excellent video! Seth Godin really understands what effective marketing in today's world is. Thanks Loic for interviewing Seth, and thanks Mike for posting this inspiring interview.
