This chapter walks us through a brief discussion of what it means to be a "catholic, missional, monastic faith community".
Missional, in particular, is described as being "focused on the good of the world".
This led me back to the question I asked as part of my thoughts on Chapter 19. A conversation that began in the previous chapter continues here: a misreading of the gospels has resulted in us focusing almost exclusively on life after death, and discounting a concern for life before death (ie. issues of justice and mercy) as an ill-informed and inappropriate focus on "works".
I believe I've already tipped my hand on that particular notion...
