A couple of seemingly random thoughts for you as I continue to digest my previous post, and contemplate where it will go.
First, our good friend Robert has posted the market letter he sent out to his clients tonight. Robert is exceptionally good at this - drop by for his perspective.
And on a similar but completely unrelated note...
I've been working a little today on my lists of stuff for Ethiopia. One of the important considerations is reading material. I'll be in the air 4 hours from Vancouver to Toronto, an hour and a half from Toronto to Washington, and 17 hours from DC to Addis Ababa. (The return route is the same, except I'll go through Chicago instead of Toronto.) Reading selection on a trip like this is important, and I'll be taking a few books along.
Last year I read The Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follett, and thought it was one of the best novels I've ever read. I've been waiting for the sequel World Without End to come out in paperback, so I thought I'd take a look tonight and see if it has been released yet. No - October 7. And I leave on the 8th. I wonder if I can pull this off...
